Je peut lire francais, mais Anglais est plus facile pour moi. Is there an English language book that can explain what the issues are for Franco-Ontarians? I live in western Massachusetts, proud of my Acadian and Quebecois heritage. I recently learned that there's also a kind of dispute between Quebecois and Franco-Ontarians? What on earth is that about?

Merci de m'avoir lu, Ann! I appreciate your subscription to the blog and your comment. There are a lot of great books about and by Franco-Ontarians -- check out Éditions Prise de Parole for some great stuff. Re: the dispute. The Franco-Ontarians and Québécois have a lot of love for each other, but sometimes things get complicated. We face very different political situations and issues, but more than that, Franco-Ontarians and other non-Québécois have often been held up as an example of what will happen to Quebec in Canada (e.g. assimilation to English) and so there can sometimes be some tension from that perspective. I hope this helps! I can't wait to read you and welcome to La Tourtière!
