I wish that some of the broadcasts could reach across the border. Several times I've tried to watch something from CBC or listen to something from Radio-Canada, but got a message that says "not available in your region." Radio-free Canada?

Great piece. As an anglophone who grew up in small town Quebec during the 60s and 70s I too listened and watched both sides of our national broadcaster. It gave this small town boy a broader understanding of Canada. That process continues as the CBC/Radio Canada has evolved to reflect this country's multicultural nature and relate the realities of our first nation's people's. In a world that too often focuses on our differences

This is a wonderful comment, Kevin (and hello -- long time no chat!). I think there's a lot that binds us together, including CBC and Radio-Canada, and I hope that we can find ways to preserve these institutions while also pushing them to do better as well. Sending greetings to you and the fam!
